Lesson learned- Don't show up to the rec at 5:20 and think you will get a treadmill. You won't. 
 
I don't know what's going on this week.  Yesterday there were no bikes in Spin and today there were no treadmills.  I did the ellipticlimber (that's what I call it. It's this wierd machine that's a mix between an eliptical and a stair climber, what's it really called?) for 15 minutes the whole time creeping the treadmills waiting for someone to get off.  Once one became available I jumped on and did 2.  And was late for work because of it. 
 
A little after mile one I accidently hit the stop button so I had to start over.  Isn't that just the worst?

Today there was always like 3 free treadmills. Unlike yesterday where everyone jumped when one would open up.
 
Warm up .25, ran 2, walked .4 then ran .8.  Does that get me to 3.5? Close enough. 
 
Ankles hurt this morning but they were fine while I was running.  But then when I'm done running it feels like all the blood pools in my ankles and they start to swell and feel so tight and achy.  That's normal right? :)

Oh and Merri, I think you'll especially appreciate this.  I got pulled over on 400 South on my way home from the rec.  One of my headlights is out, I was apparently going 10-12 over and I didn't use my blinker when I pulled on main street.  I'm lucky I had my license because I don't take my purse to the gym.  I had just pulled my license out like a week ago and I've been keeping it in my car just for an occasion like this.  The copper was really nice and let me off with a warning.  Maybe it's because I was still sweating profusely from my run and he felt bad for me.   Oh and don't worry I just got the right headlight replaced like a week ago and now the left one is out. awesome.

Warm up .25, Ran 2 without stopping in 17:30 then ran & walked to 3.25 before my machine timed out at 30 minutes .  Once it timed out I decided to go to the outside track and finish my run.  But I got about halfway around the track and realized I'd rather just run home.  So that's what I did.  Didn't have my garmin, so I don't know how fast or anything.  But it felt so so good to run outside.  Had to be home by 8:15 to get in the shower and go to Temp with hubs.  On our way out of the Temple I spotted the Dr. who delivered Sophie.  I would have said hi but I doubt he would remember me considering he wasn't really my dr, and we didn't meet until D day.

2 in 17:24 and then finished 2.3 in 20 minutes.  Woke up late today so I didn't have more time than this.  But I was only scheduled to run 2 miles today so it all worked out I guess.

The plan was to run 3 but I felt pretty good so I did 4.  Only had to stop for a short bit after 3.  Made it to 3 in 26:14, then slowed a little and took off the incline to make it to 4 in 35:06.

It wasn't fast or pretty but it was 6 miles so I'll take it.  Ran to the rec and around the track a few times to get to 3.  Did this at about an 9 min pace. 

Went into Rec and did 1hr strength class.

Then found a way to run 3 home.  The 3 home were slow and gross and I had a side ache so I had to walk more than I wanted.

got to the gym late today, and I didn't really feel like running.  But then I saw that there were no TM's and then I wanted to run :).  Always want what you can't have.  So I did Elliptical for 15 minutes and then one TM opened up so I ran a 1.5 in 12:40.  That's all I had time for.  I don't know why I always sleep in.  I'm always mad when I get to the gym and only have five seconds there.  


Got pulled over again this morning for my headlight.  It was the same cop and he remembered me and he was super nice.  Asked me all about my running and what I'm training for.  Maybe I won't fix my headlight just so he and I can have our weekly visits.

Ran 2 and 30 min Strength Class. Made it to the gym 10 minutes earlier today than yesterday.  Now the goal is to get there 10 minutes earlier tomorrow.  And by Friday maybe I can actually get there right at 5 so I can do 30 minutes of running and the strength class.  


Took our other car today so I wouldn't have the headlight problem.  And I was afraid I was going to run out of gas the whole way because who knows how long that gas light has been on.  Husband loves driving it til the very end of the tank.  Atleast I was close and knew I could run home if I had to.  

I probably should have run outside today.  It felt super nice out there.  I just get scared because it's so dark and my neighbors are all such creepers.

5k in 27.10 then another walk/run mile to finish 4 in 36. Hurt my lower right back/bum somehow.  Can hardly walk now.  Hope that goes away with a day of sitting at work.

I really did something to my back.  Took of Sat and sun to see if that helped.  Which it did, I can walk now and not want to cry.  But I tried running today and not happening.  So i guess I'll take it easy this week and see what happens.

Didn't even hear my alarm this morning.  Woke up at 6:40 and have to be at work at 7. Awesome.  

In other news a lady from Roosevelt is driving all the way out to look at our car that is for sale today.  That's a good sign right?

I had to leave work early today because baby was being a freak to my husband.  Once I calmed her down and napping I went to the gym while she napped. half our on the elliptical/stairstepper.
