| I think my body is falling apart. I just get feeling better from one injury and then get another one. Now my right foot is broken. It hurts right at the bend where your toes meet your foot. I don't know how it happened. It's been tender for like a week and then last nights run I could feel it the whole run and this morning when I woke up I knew I wouldn't be running on it. I could hardly put weight on it. So I went to Spin. |

| Ran 4. We're at my in-laws and it was fun running in a new area. The run went to fast because there was so much new stuff to look at along the way and I was just trying to figure out my route as I went. I like being at sea level too, think that helps :). Supposed to be 90 here today. Hooray! |

| We made it to destination Kauai, HI. And it is so awesome here. Especially awesome that we're 4 hours behind Utah time so Sophie woke up at 4 :). Wasn't a big deal because we went to bed at 7. Anyway, made working out early really easy. Because 5 a.m. felt like 9 a.m. Run felt good so I just kept going to get my long run done for the week. Went at 8:41 pace until the last half mile and did that at 8 min pace. Don't know the total time exactly because I hit the stop button on the treadmill halfway through like an idiot. Why do they put the stop button somewhere you can even hit it? |

| 3.1 in 27:10. 5 in 44:16. My running pace was 8:41 but it took a little longer because I had to walk a little between miles 3 and 4. It was all that lead someone deposited into my legs while I was sleeping last night. |

| 9 Miles around South West Orem. From my house to 1200 South, down around UVU, ran around their new track a couple of times- it's sweet. Then down to 400 North, up to 400 W then home again home again. I don't like running around town that much, too many smelly cars but it's nice to just run out my front door and not have to drive to the canyon or somewhere else. |

Other than the cold cold rain and starting 25 minutes late and the HUGE hills, this was a good race :). Maybe not my favorite course but still fun and you can't beat free! Merri was there, met Allie (don't be too jealous Burt), and my neighbor Lyndsey came with me.
This was my first post-baby race, my 2011 debut! And it went great. That's one of my faster times, not a PR, but still fast for me. I'm happy with it. It was also about .2 short according to my watch.
My legs and feet were really cold at first and it took a while for those to warm up but once they did I felt good. I wished I hadn't had so many layers on about halfway but since I only had about a mile left I decided against ditching them.
I forgot to stop my watch at the end. Idiot. The clock at the finish said 25:17 but when I look at the breakdown of my garmin I slowed way down at 25:05 so I'm going with 25:05, unless the official results post as faster than that, then I'll go with those :)

I ran this race back in 2008, but the course was a little different then, it still had the huge cemetary hill, but ended like right after that hill. And it also ended like a mile from where it started so you had to walk back to your car after you ran the race. I remember it raining that day too... guess that's just what it does on Memorial Day. |
