All it takes is one guilt inducing holiday that tells you to make changes to get me back on the blog.  HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!  I bundled up and ran outside today.  I didn't go out until about 10 so it wasn't too cold.  I could have done without 2 layers of pants and 2 layers of sweaters. lol, can you tell I'm not an experienced winter runner. 

I went really slow because a) the roads and sidewalks are slick in parts and b) because as you're all aware I haven't exercised in months.  Yeah that's plural, MONTHS!  It's gotten really hard to find time with the early long  hours of my job and December was super busy and somedays I was working 10 + hours. But I have gained too many lbs, so I'm going to get back to the running/ P90X lifestyle. 

I didn't want to put my splits because they're so embarrassing .  I ran without stopping to 1.5 and then walked a little then ran to 2 and then from 2-3 it was brutal

I'm not going to lie. Those splits are pretty slow. But you're right. They can only get better. It's great to have you back.

I never put my splits either, I pretty much do the same every time so at least I know. Nice job today. Any plans for races this year?

It's hard to tell how cold it really is until you're out there and then it's too late. :)
